Women’s Squash Clinic Held in Karachi to Promote Female Participation in Sports

A special Women’s Squash Clinic was successfully held at the Pakistan Navy Roshan Khan Jahangir Khan Squash Complex with generous support from the Ahmer Abbas family.

The goal of the clinic was to encourage greater female participation in squash, especially at the national level, and to help young women strengthen their presence in the squash community.

Led by Coach Naveed Alam, the clinic provided awareness sessions and practical training to young female players from various schools and colleges. The event also saw participation from national-level women players and sports teachers.

At the end of the clinic, a certificate distribution ceremony was held to recognize and appreciate the efforts of the participants.

Speaking on the occasion, Coach Naveed Alam said:

“This clinic was a valuable step forward in encouraging more girls to take up squash and stay engaged in sports. With continued support from families like that of Ahmer Abbas, we can open more doors for women in squash.”

Muhammad Afzal, Assistant Manager of the squash complex, added:

“We are fully committed to the growth of women’s squash in Pakistan. We’re confident that new talent will soon rise at the national level.”

Renowned sports anchor Asif Khan commented:

“Producing legends like Jahangir Khan takes dedication and consistency.”

Senior sports journalist Zubair Nazir Khan concluded:

“To secure the future of squash in Pakistan, more initiatives like this are absolutely necessary.”
