Trump Sets Two-Week Deadline for Iran Before Possible U.S. Response

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has given Iran what he’s calling a final window — just two weeks, at most — to avoid potential American military action. Speaking to reporters in Morristown, New Jersey on Friday, Trump made it clear that he’s running out of patience with the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel.

“I’d say two weeks is the maximum,” he said. “They need to come to their senses — and soon.” Trump added that while he initially suggested a two-week period for diplomacy to work, he might not even wait that long if no real progress is made.

He didn’t mince words about Europe’s involvement either. Trump said Iran has no real interest in talking to European powers like the UK, France, or Germany. “Iran doesn’t want to talk to Europe. They want to talk to us,” he stated, brushing off the Geneva talks as ineffective.

As for Iran’s condition that talks with the U.S. won’t happen until Israel stops its military operations — Trump didn’t seem open to that idea. “It’s very hard to ask someone to stop when they feel like they’re winning,” he said, making it clear he has no intention of urging Israel to hold back at this point.

Trump emphasized that the U.S. is “ready, willing, and able” if needed. While he still hinted at the possibility of diplomacy, his tone suggested that the clock is ticking — and fast. “We’ll see what happens,” he said, leaving little doubt that a decision is looming.
