Karachi is expected to experience another cloudy and humid day on Thursday, July 24, as the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts continued light rain and drizzle as part of the ongoing monsoon spell.
According to the PMD, light showers or drizzle may occur during the early morning and late-night hours, with mostly overcast skies throughout the day—typical weather for July in the coastal city.
Daytime temperatures will range between 33–35°C, while nights may cool down slightly to 28–30°C. Morning humidity levels will remain high at around 70–80%.
Winds from the west and southwest will offer some relief, but the overall atmosphere will still feel sticky and warm.
The PMD issued a light advisory, noting that early morning drizzle could cause slippery roads and slower traffic.
Health experts warn that high humidity may pose problems for individuals with respiratory issues or heat-related sensitivities, and advise staying indoors during peak heat hours and drinking plenty of water.
Evenings are expected to stay dry, making them more suitable for outdoor activities.
This weather pattern is expected to continue until Friday, with no major disruptions or heavy downpours expected. Some scattered showers may also occur in Thatta and Badin, but there’s no threat of urban flooding across southern Sindh for now.
