Pakistan Urges Citizens to Avoid Travel to Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria Amid Rising Tensions

As tensions continue to escalate in the Middle East, the Government of Pakistan has issued a strong travel advisory urging its citizens to avoid non-essential travel to Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria.

The advisory, issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, comes in response to the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel — a confrontation that has destabilized several countries in the region. Pakistani nationals already residing in these countries have been asked to exercise extreme caution, limit their movements, and avoid unnecessary travel within those territories.

“Safety must come first,” stated the Foreign Office, urging all Pakistanis in the affected regions to stay in regular contact with the nearest Pakistani embassies for real-time updates and emergency assistance.

This precautionary move follows alarming developments in the region. What began as an Israeli air offensive against Iran — reportedly aimed at halting Iran’s nuclear ambitions — has spiraled into a full-blown conflict. Iran has retaliated with missile and drone strikes, and both sides have suffered casualties.

According to the Human Rights Activists News Agency, Israeli airstrikes have killed over 600 people in Iran, including key military leaders and nuclear scientists. On the other side, Iranian missile attacks have claimed the lives of at least two dozen Israeli civilians.

While Iran maintains that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes, the situation remains dangerously volatile. International efforts, including those by European diplomats, are underway to de-escalate the conflict and bring Iran back to the negotiating table. Meanwhile, former U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that a decision regarding possible American involvement could come within two weeks.

For now, the Pakistan Foreign Office emphasizes that this advisory is a necessary and proactive step to safeguard Pakistani lives amid a rapidly shifting regional crisis. Families with loved ones in the affected countries are urged to stay connected and informed as the situation unfolds.
