North Korea calls Israel’s military action on Iran a crime against humanity

Pyongyang: North Korea has called Israel’s military strikes on Iran a “crime against humanity” and warned they could spark a wider conflict in the unstable Middle East.

The state-run KCNA published a statement where a spokesperson for North Korea’s Foreign Ministry voiced “serious concern” over Israeli attacks on Iran’s civilian, nuclear, and energy facilities and “condemns” the actions.

The spokesperson called the killing of civilians in Israeli attacks “an unpardonable crime against humanity” and accused Tel Aviv of practicing “state-sponsored terrorism.” They claimed it was increasing the chances of “a new all-out war” in the region.

North Korea urged the United States and European nations to avoid additional intervention.

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated that the current serious situation unfolding shows Israel backed and supported by the U.S. and the West, acts as a cancer-like force against peace in the Middle East and plays a key role in disrupting global peace and security.
