Weather experts predict Karachi’s top temperature could hit 36°C to 38°C
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) expects Karachi to see rain and strong winds with thunderstorms in several areas today (Monday), after a stretch of scorching heat.
The Met Office says the next 24 hours will be somewhat cloudy and humid.
Still, the weather department noted: “The highest temperature might reach 36 to 38 degrees Celsius.”
The PMD reports 73% air humidity, with warm winds coming from the northwest at three kilometers per hour.
The department also mentioned that the lowest temperature in the past 24 hours was 30°C.
On June 13, the PMD predicted that a pre-monsoon weather pattern would affect eastern Sindh starting Saturday evening.
Before this, Met officials had said a western wave was impacting upper and central parts of the country and would continue through Sunday and Monday, as reported by The News. They had forecast hot and dry weather in most of the country, with extreme heat in flat areas.

Rain hit various cities such as Gujrat, Mangla, Sialkot, Islamabad, Murree, Mir Khani, Kalam, Dir, Drosh, Rawalakot, and Gupis. On Saturday, Turbat and Pasni recorded the highest temperature at 49°C
