South Korea Offers Fully Funded Scholarships for Pakistani Students

Pakistani students aspiring to study abroad have been presented with a valuable opportunity, as South Korea has announced its 2025 KOICA Scholarship Program. Under this initiative, the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) will provide fully funded scholarships for Master’s and PhD programs at some of South Korea’s leading universities.

For the upcoming academic year, KOICA plans to award a total of 109 scholarships. The duration of study will be approximately 17 months for Master’s degrees and 36 months for PhDs. The scholarship will cover all essential expenses, including round-trip airfare, full tuition fees, monthly living stipends, accommodation, and health insurance. In addition, recipients will receive settlement assistance upon arrival and a grant upon completing their degree.

However, the program is specifically designed for government officials. Applicants must have an official nomination from their respective government departments. They must also be under the age of 40 and possess good physical and mental health. Since courses are conducted in English, a strong proficiency in the language is required.

For Master’s programs, candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree along with at least two years of relevant professional experience. For PhD programs, applicants must already have a Master’s degree and a few years of additional work experience in their field.

The application deadline is July 31, 2025. Eligible Pakistani candidates are encouraged to begin preparing their documents and submit their applications without delay.

This scholarship aims to equip young professionals with advanced international knowledge and skills, enabling them to return to Pakistan and contribute as leaders in their respective sectors.

Further details and application guidelines are available on the KOICA Official Website.
