The Sindh government has made it clear that e-challan fines in Karachi will remain unchanged, dismissing speculation about any possible reduction. Local Government Minister Nasir Hussain Shah stated that these fines are specifically meant for Karachi’s residents and will continue as they are.
Speaking to reporters, Shah said that cutting fines is not under consideration at the moment. Instead, the provincial government aims to empower local institutions and reinforce traffic discipline across the city. According to him, strict implementation of rules is essential for improving road safety, easing congestion, and encouraging motorists to adopt responsible driving habits.
The stance reflects the government’s broader strategy of promoting better urban governance and ensuring that citizens cooperate with traffic regulations to build a more organized Karachi.
