Rain Forecast for Sindh Starting July 30

KARACHI — The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted rainfall for several southeastern and other districts of Sindh on July 30 and 31, with breaks in between.

While most of the province is expected to experience hot and humid conditions, rain is likely in areas such as Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Mithi, Sanghar, Khairpur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Sukkur, Ghotki, Larkana, and Dadu over the two days.

Karachi, meanwhile, is currently under a blanket of clouds, with sea breezes blowing at around 18 kilometers per hour. The Met Office added that no significant rainfall is anticipated in Karachi for the coming week. However, there may be light drizzles during early morning and nighttime hours. The weather is expected to remain humid and cloudy, with temperatures possibly reaching 35°C today.

According to the forecast, weak monsoon currents are entering the upper and central parts of Pakistan and are expected to strengthen by July 28. Additionally, a westerly weather system is projected to arrive on July 29.

From July 28 to 31, widespread rainfall—with some areas seeing heavier showers—is expected across various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurram, Kohat, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Mardan, Swabi, Hangu, Karak, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Waziristan, Tank, and Dera Ismail Khan.

Rain is also forecast in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan from July 27 to 31, in Punjab and Islamabad from July 28 to 31, in South Punjab from July 29 to 31, and across Balochistan from the night of July 29 through the 31st.
