PTI Founder’s Nephew Sher Shah Sent on 5-Day Physical Remand in Jinnah House Case

Lahore:
Sher Shah, nephew of PTI founder Imran Khan and son of Aleema Khan, has been remanded into police custody for five days in connection with the Jinnah House attack case.

The development came during a hearing at the Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court, where investigators sought Sher Shah’s physical remand. Prosecutors argued that the accused was present at the scene of the incident, citing video footage presented in court. The investigating officer informed the judge that Sher Shah must undergo both photographic and polygraphic testing, requesting a 30-day remand to complete the process.

Defense counsel Salman Akram Raja, however, strongly opposed the request. He argued that authorities had suddenly decided to arrest Sher Shah more than two years after the incident, despite courts previously discharging him due to delays in the case. “If such practices continue, the entire city will end up being arrested,” Raja remarked, urging the court to dismiss the request for remand altogether. After hearing both sides, the court reserved its decision before ultimately granting a five-day physical remand. Sher Shah has now been handed over to police for further investigation.
