The chairman made these remarks during his visit to the Cable Operators Association office in Karachi, where he held detailed discussions with association representatives about their concerns and operational challenges.
Saleem Baig assured the operators of PEMRA’s full cooperation in addressing legitimate grievances but emphasized that illegal practices, including unauthorized internet cable distribution and unlawful content dissemination, would not be tolerated. “We are committed to supporting lawful operators, but action against illegal content and unlicensed services will be uncompromising,” he said.
