Pakistani Meat Exporter Begins Operations at Karachi EPZ Plant

KARACHI — The Organic Meat Company Limited (TOMCL), one of Pakistan’s leading halal meat exporters, has officially commenced operations at its new facility in the Karachi Export Processing Zone (KEPZA). The company confirmed the development in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Wednesday.

According to the announcement, the plant owned by TOMCL’s wholly-owned subsidiary Mohammad Saeed Mohammad Hussain Limited (MSMHL) became operational on October 1, 2025.

The new facility has been designed to process ovine and bovine offals with a strong focus on hygienic value addition and re-export to high-potential international markets, including the Middle East, Europe, China, and Central and East Asia. Products from the plant will include frozen edible offals and dehydrated pet chews.

TOMCL stated that the launch of this facility is a strategic step in its long-term vision to become a fully integrated halal meat and by-product company. By expanding beyond traditional meat cuts and markets, the company aims to further strengthen Pakistan’s position as a trusted source of premium halal-certified protein products.

“This milestone reinforces TOMCL’s commitment to innovation, quality, and diversification in the halal meat sector. It also reflects our resolve to scale capabilities across the value chain and explore new avenues in global markets,” the company said in its statement.

The development follows TOMCL’s recent $8.1 million export contract with UAE-based Gold Crest Trading FZE for the supply of frozen boneless beef for both industrial and household use.

Established in 2010, TOMCL has grown into one of Pakistan’s foremost exporters of red meat and meat by-products. Its major export markets include the Middle East, where demand for premium halal-certified meat continues to expand.
