KARACHI — In a major boost for Pakistan’s meat industry, The Organic Meat Company has announced that it has secured export orders worth $7.5 million from China, reflecting the growing demand for Pakistani beef in international markets.
The company disclosed the development in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, confirming that it will supply frozen boneless beef to China over the course of the next year. The deal has been finalized under the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which continues to open new avenues of trade between the two countries.
According to the statement, the Chinese market’s appetite for halal protein products is expanding rapidly, and Pakistan’s exporters are well positioned to meet that demand. The Organic Meat Company emphasized that all shipments will be processed and packaged in line with international food safety and quality standards.
Industry observers view this agreement as a significant opportunity for Pakistan to strengthen its footprint in China’s massive consumer market while also boosting the country’s struggling export sector. For Pakistan’s livestock and meat industry, the deal underscores both the potential of halal exports and the importance of aligning with global supply chain requirements.
