Pakistan Strongly Rejects Israeli ‘Greater Israel’ Plan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Friday firmly rejected recent remarks by Israeli officials promoting the idea of a so-called “Greater Israel” and the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza, terming the statements a blatant violation of international law.

Foreign Office spokesperson Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan, in a strongly worded statement, said the rhetoric coming from Tel Aviv ran contrary to the UN Charter and relevant Security Council resolutions. He urged the global community to “unequivocally dismiss” what he described as provocative and dangerous notions aimed at consolidating Israel’s illegal occupation while derailing prospects of peace in the Middle East.

“These remarks reflect the occupying power’s utter disregard for international efforts and expose its intent to fuel further instability in the region,” Khan said, calling for urgent and concrete measures to stop what he termed ongoing crimes and atrocities against the Palestinian people.

In a separate message, Pakistan expressed sorrow over the devastation caused by a cloudburst in Kishtwar, Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The Foreign Office conveyed condolences to the bereaved families and wished a swift recovery for those injured.
