In a major push toward digital transformation, Pakistan has launched several forward-looking initiatives aimed at empowering startups and nurturing advanced tech skills among its youth.
Under the newly introduced Prime Minister’s Cloud Program, local startups will now have access to cloud computing credits a crucial boost that will help them scale faster, enhance digital infrastructure, and compete more effectively in international markets. The program’s core objective is to make technology adoption more affordable while driving innovation within Pakistan’s rapidly growing startup ecosystem.
Alongside this, the government has unveiled the Code4AI Program, a nationwide training drive set to equip around 7,500 individuals with expertise in high-demand technologies such as Python, artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, quantum computing, and prompt engineering. The initiative focuses on building a future-ready workforce capable of keeping pace with global technological trends.
Beyond traditional training, participants will gain hands-on experience through cybersecurity hackathons and practical workshops hosted in major cities across Pakistan giving them the opportunity to tackle real-world digital challenges.
The government is also expanding National Incubation Center (NIC) Quetta 2.0, which will now support over 70 entrepreneurs annually. The upgraded facility will offer in-depth mentorship, specialized training sessions, and direct networking with investors helping young innovators transform bold ideas into sustainable, market-ready ventures.
Together, these initiatives underscore Pakistan’s growing commitment to building a robust digital economy. By combining technical education with entrepreneurial support, the government hopes to create thousands of new opportunities for young professionals and establish Pakistan as a competitive force in the global tech landscape.
