Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, in a heartfelt message marking Air Force Day, lauded the indomitable spirit of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) falcons, recalling their heroic role in defending the nation’s skies and inspiring generations.
Naqvi said that on September 7, 1965, the falcons of PAF shattered the enemy’s arrogance and carved a new chapter in history by protecting the aerial frontiers with unmatched courage. Paying glowing tribute, he highlighted how the air warriors, despite being outnumbered, relied on faith, determination, and exceptional skill to turn the tide of battle.
Citing the legendary feat of M.M. Alam, Naqvi reminded the nation of the moment when the ace pilot downed five enemy aircraft within minutes — an act that astonished the world and became a symbol of Pakistan’s resilience.
The interior minister drew a parallel with more recent history, noting that even sixty years later, in May 2025, the falcons once again humbled the enemy during the Battle of Truth, when PAF pilots shot down six hostile fighter jets. “These victories show that the courage of our air warriors remains as unshakable today as it was in 1965,” he said.
Naqvi praised not only the pilots but also the engineers and technicians whose dedication ensures the operational readiness of the force, calling them “the nation’s backbone and true pride.” He stressed that the PAF carries the nation’s hopes and honor on its wings, keeping the skies safe through sacrifice and vigilance. “Every Pakistani is indebted to their valor,” Naqvi said, adding that the bravery and sacrifices of the falcons will forever remain etched in the country’s memory. “Because of their unwavering resolve, Pakistan’s skies remain secure, and the nation’s dignity stands tall.
