Mercenaries’ Issue to Be Taken Up with Ukraine

‘No verifiable evidence has been presented,’ FO

ISLAMABAD — Foreign Office spokesperson Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan on Friday said Pakistan and Iran have renewed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.

Speaking at the weekly press briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Khan categorically rejected what he called “baseless and unfounded allegations” about Pakistani nationals being involved in the Ukraine conflict.

“No verifiable evidence has been presented, nor has Pakistan been formally approached by the Ukrainian authorities,” he stated, adding that the matter would be taken up with Kyiv to seek clarification.
