In a landmark move for Pakistan’s sports scene, McDonald’s Pakistan has joined hands with Legends Arena to host the Asia Pacific Padel Tour (APPT) Padel Grand Slam 2025 in Karachi marking the country’s first-ever international padel tournament. The event carries added prestige with the endorsement of world squash legend Jahangir Khan, who is also a partner at Legends Arena.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, six-time world squash champion Jahangir Khan expressed optimism about Pakistan’s potential in the rapidly growing sport.
“Pakistan has produced world-class athletes, and I believe padel can be the next great chapter in that journey,” he said. “The skill gap between our local players and the international circuit isn’t too wide. With the right opportunities, I’m confident we’ll soon see Pakistani champions making their mark on the global stage.”
The APPT Padel Grand Slam is set to showcase Pakistan’s emerging padel talent as they go head-to-head with international athletes on home turf a major step forward for the sport’s visibility and development in the country.
Jamil Mughal, Managing Director of McDonald’s Pakistan, highlighted the company’s commitment to promoting active lifestyles through sports.
