Karachi: Robbers Escape with Gold and Cash in Gulshan-e-Hadeed Heist

KARACHI – Armed robbers made off with gold and cash worth millions of rupees in a daring daylight robbery at a house in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Hadeed area, police confirmed on Tuesday.

According to officials, a group of armed men forced their way into the residence, holding the occupants at gunpoint. The intruders looted 10 tolas of gold along with Rs 1.5 million in cash before fleeing the scene on motorcycles.

Police sources said the suspects were equipped with modern firearms and executed the heist with precision, leaving the victims shaken but unharmed. A search operation has been launched to track down the culprits, though no arrests had been made at the time of filing this report.

This incident comes just weeks after another high-profile theft in the city, when a newly hired domestic worker allegedly looted a family’s apartment on Shaheed-e-Millat Road. In that case, 48 tolas of gold and Rs 150,000 in cash were stolen. Police later revealed that the maid, who had been employed for only 15 days, brought another woman to the apartment before the theft took place. The family had left home for lunch when the crime was committed.
