JI Stages Protest in Hyderabad, Condemns Attacks on Iran

Hyderabad’s Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) took to the streets on Monday to protest against the ongoing US and Israeli aggression targeting Iran. The demonstration was held outside the Hyderabad Press Club and led by JI Hyderabad District Emir Hafiz Tahir Majeed.

Carrying placards and chanting slogans, the protesters strongly condemned the airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities. JI leaders, along with Syed Moazzam Shah Jehanian from the Shia Ulema Council, addressed the gathering and called the attacks a clear violation of international law and human rights.

Speaking to the crowd, Majeed said the United States was backing Israel in its campaign of violence across the Muslim world, from Gaza to now Iran. “The US is the biggest terrorist in the world,” he said. “After the devastation in Gaza, Netanyahu has now turned his eyes toward Iran. But Iran has stood its ground and humbled their arrogance.”

He added that the people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with Iran in this difficult time, urging the international community to speak up against what he described as “open terrorism by the US and its allies.”
