Iran Extends Condolences and Support to Pakistan Amid Devastating Floods

ISLAMABAD:
Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian expressed his heartfelt condolences to the people of Pakistan over the loss of lives and damage to property caused by the ongoing floods across the country.

In a telephonic conversation with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday, President Pezeshkian offered assistance to the people of Pakistan during this challenging time. He conveyed his sympathy to flood-affected families, recognizing the heavy toll on lives and belongings, and assured support in addressing the immediate needs of the affected communities.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked President Pezeshkian for his thoughtful gesture and expression of solidarity in this hour of crisis. The Prime Minister also requested that his regards and best wishes be conveyed to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatullah Ali Khamenei. Both leaders expressed their eagerness to engage further at the upcoming SCO Summit in Tianjin, China, highlighting continued bilateral cooperation and support.
