Field Marshal Has Won Both the War and the People’s Hearts, Says Faisal Vawda

Islamabad – Senator Faisal Vawda has declared that Field Marshal Asim Munir has not only secured military victories but also earned the deep trust and affection of the people, calling him the true leader of Pakistan.

Speaking on ARY News program The Reporters, Vawda sharply criticized the political class, accusing them of incompetence and negligence. He said that despite repeated warnings on issues like climate change, the political leadership remains stuck in old rhetoric, with some wasting time on social media and others engaged in verbal abuse.

“The corruption market is thriving,” Vawda remarked, citing the cutting of trees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, mismanagement in Sindh, and the massive wheat losses in government warehouses. He also highlighted the recurring sugar and wheat crises, saying the country has failed to resolve these basic issues for 75 years.

According to Vawda, the public today stands firmly behind Field Marshal Asim Munir. “He has not only won the war but also won the people’s hearts. His efforts are proving Pakistan’s value on the global stage. One foreign trip of his brings billions in investment,” he said.

Vawda added that attempts to undermine the army chief had failed and insisted that continuity of leadership was essential for Pakistan’s progress. “Anyone trying to disrupt this continuity will be crushed,” he warned, expressing hope that 2026 would mark the beginning of major positive changes in the country.

He praised the army’s role in times of national crisis, saying, “Whenever there is a flood or disaster, it is the army that reaches the people first.”

Turning his criticism toward PTI, Vawda said the party had mishandled Senate seats, losing winnable positions due to poor decisions. “These failures show that parliamentarians are not fulfilling their responsibilities,” he added.

Vawda stressed that Pakistan is not the personal property of any political party. “We will support anyone who works for the country. Unfortunately, Pakistan has yet to produce a true democratic leader,” he said.

Concluding his remarks, the former federal minister expressed optimism about the future under Field Marshal Asim Munir’s leadership. “We see hope in Pakistan through him. He has taken steps for stability, and he will continue to do so.”
