Eight Arrested in Case of Girl’s Illegal Detention at Karachi Call Center

Karachi (September 24, 2025): Police have registered six separate cases and arrested eight individuals, including five armed men, in connection with the illegal detention of a female employee at a call center in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi.

According to police reports, the call center owner and his associates allegedly held the woman against her will and opened fire when her family intervened. Authorities recovered two rifles and three pistols from the suspects. The FIR lists charges including unlawful detention, violating the girl’s chastity, firing in the air, rioting, and threats to kill.

The victim’s father, Shoaib, told investigators that his daughter had been working at the call center for three years. He alleged that the branch manager, Daniyal, had repeatedly harassed his daughter and made obscene advances. When she confided in her nephew, he confronted Daniyal, who responded with threats.

According to Shoaib, when the family arrived at the office around 9 pm, they found it locked from the inside. Upon knocking, the door remained shut, and they discovered that his daughter was being unlawfully detained. The situation escalated when Daniyal verbally abused the family and, along with office guards Imran and Raza, opened fire. In response, Shoaib’s nephew returned fire.

Police were contacted through the emergency helpline, and officers quickly reached the scene, arresting all suspects involved. Investigations are ongoing, and authorities have confirmed that strict action will be taken against those found guilty.
