Foreign Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Karachi, Avoids Major Disaster

Karachi: A flight from Baku, Azerbaijan, en route to India narrowly avoided a potential disaster when it made an emergency landing at Karachi Airport on Wednesday.

The Silk Way Airlines flight AZP 4771, which had taken off from Baku, developed a technical fault while flying at an altitude of 31,000 feet over the Arabian Sea, within Indian airspace. The pilot, acting swiftly to prevent any serious accident, decided to divert the aircraft to Karachi.

Upon recognizing the issue, the pilot immediately contacted the nearest Air Traffic Control (ATC) and requested clearance for an emergency landing. After receiving formal permission, the aircraft safely touched down at Karachi Airport.

Civil aviation sources confirmed that the plane has been stationed at Terminal One, where a thorough inspection is underway to determine the cause of the technical fault. No injuries have been reported, and passengers are reportedly safe.

Authorities have praised the pilot’s quick decision-making, which averted what could have been a major aviation disaster.
