Lahore: In a major setback for popular YouTuber Saad-ur-Rehman, widely known as Ducky Bhai, a Lahore court has rejected his bail in the gambling app promotion case and issued a detailed written verdict.
According to court documents, Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo emphasized that Ducky Bhai has millions of young followers, and any misstep by such a social media influencer could have widespread societal repercussions.
The court noted that Ducky Bhai did not deny promoting the gambling app. It further stated that the accused had received $326,420 for endorsing the platform but failed to provide details about the source of the funds.
The written decision also highlighted that, as per the public prosecutor, Ducky Bhai had been issued multiple notices during the investigation but deliberately failed to cooperate.
Authorities added that reports suggested Saad-ur-Rehman was attempting to flee the country, which led to his arrest at the airport. The case remains under investigation.
