Truck Collides with Motorcycle at Korangi Singer Chowrangi, Two Injured

Karachi: Two people were injured on Sunday when a truck rammed into a motorcycle at Korangi Singer Chowrangi in Karachi, in what police say was caused by brake failure.

According to eyewitnesses, the motorcycle became trapped beneath the truck after the impact. The vehicle then swerved into the sidewalk before coming to a halt. Both victims sustained injuries and were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

This latest accident comes just a day after another grim road mishap in Karachi. On Saturday, a dumper truck struck a motorbike on Nipa Bridge in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, leaving a woman rider seriously injured. The incident triggered public outrage, with angry residents setting the dumper on fire.

Following that crash, police temporarily barred heavy vehicles from using the Nipa Bridge and diverted traffic to alternative routes. Authorities also summoned the owner of the dumper involved in Saturday’s accident for questioning.

The two back-to-back incidents have once again highlighted the dangers posed by heavy vehicles on Karachi’s busy roads, sparking fresh calls for stricter enforcement of traffic rules and better regulation of transport safety standards.
