MURREE – The district administration has announced the enforcement of Section 144 in Murree for a three-day period, from August 12 to 14, in an effort to manage crowds and maintain public order during the busy tourist season.
According to an official notification issued on Monday, access to Mall Road will remain restricted, with only tourist families permitted to visit during these dates.
Deputy Commissioner Murree warned that any breach of the directive would result in strict legal action. Offenders could face case registration and prosecution under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
The decision comes amid heightened visitor activity in the hill station during August, as authorities seek to prevent overcrowding and ensure a smooth experience for both tourists and residents.
