KARACHI – The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Friday announced the issuance of a special commemorative coin of Rs75 to pay tribute to Marka-e-Haq a military campaign against India earlier this year and to mark Pakistan’s Independence Day.
In a statement, the central bank said the coin honors “the valor of our armed forces during Marka-e-Haq” while also celebrating the country’s 78th Independence Day with dignity. The federal government formally approved the release.
According to official details, Marka-e-Haq is the title given to Pakistan’s broader confrontation with India that stretched from July 22 to May 10. The May 10 military action is specifically referred to as Bunyanum Marsoos.
Design of the Coin
On the front side, the coin features a waxing crescent and a five-pointed star in a rising position at the center. Around the upper edge, the inscription “Islami Jamhuria Pakistan” appears in Urdu. The year of issuance, 2025, is placed beneath the crescent, flanked by upward-curved wheat sprigs. The denomination “75” is boldly inscribed, with the word Rupia written in Urdu on either side.
The reverse side carries the words Marka-e-Haq in Urdu, along with the year 2025 in numerals. The national slogan “Pakistan Hamesha Zindabad” is inscribed along the top periphery. The design also depicts two fighter jets, a naval ship, and a Multiple Rocket Launcher System (MRLS), symbolizing the strength of Pakistan’s armed forces.
