Sahibzada Farhan has made a remarkable leap in the latest ICC T20I rankings, climbing 69 spots to reach 97th place with 389 rating points. This marks his debut in the top 100 T20I batters globally.
Hasan Nawaz also impressed, jumping 14 places to tie at 54th with South African batter David Miller. Both now have 500 rating points each.
Captain Salman Ali Agha and young opener Saim Ayub gained two spots each, moving to 91st and 62nd positions, respectively.
On the flip side, several Pakistani players saw their rankings decline. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan dropped to 14th and 16th positions, respectively. Mohammad Haris fell 15 places to 65th, now holding 476 points. Fakhar Zaman also slipped two spots to 81st with 422 points.
India’s Abhishek Sharma has claimed the top spot in the T20I batting rankings, overtaking Australia’s Travis Head. Tilak Varma from India has surged to third place.
In the bowling department, no Pakistani player is currently ranked in the top 20. Fast bowlers Abbas Afridi and Haris Rauf slipped to 24th and 26th places. Shaheen Afridi rose slightly to 35th with 536 points. Spinner Abrar Ahmed dropped to 51st, and vice-captain Shadab Khan fell to 67th.
The top three bowlers are New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy, England’s Adil Rashid, and India’s Varun Chakaravarthy.
