ISLAMABAD – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has reassured residents and property owners in Bahria Town that their investments and properties remain fully secure.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, a NAB spokesperson dismissed circulating rumors as “false and malicious,” alleging that certain groups were deliberately spreading such misinformation to drive down property values and buy at bargain prices.
“Homeowners and investors in Bahria Town are themselves victims, having faced deception in the past,” the spokesperson said, adding that NAB would take every possible legal step to safeguard their rights.
The bureau stressed that its ongoing investigation is focused solely on Bahria Town’s developers and those directly responsible for alleged financial irregularities. Proceedings, NAB added, would continue without fear or favor until all misappropriated funds are recovered.
Separately, the Prime Minister has approved the appointment of two new ambassadors — a move NAB clarified has no connection to the Bahria Town case.
The bureau urged residents and investors to disregard any unverified or sensational claims about their properties, advising them to rely exclusively on official NAB updates for accurate information.
