KARACHI – July 5, 2025:
A disturbing case of gang-r@pe has emerged from Karachi’s Ittehad Town, where a young girl was reportedly kidnapped and assaulted by multiple individuals. Police confirmed on Friday that the primary suspect has been arrested, and investigations are underway to track down his accomplices.

According to Keamari SSP Faizan Ali, the incident took place during the night between June 30 and July 1. The main accused allegedly abducted the girl and took her to a location where his associates were present. It was there, police say, that the suspects subjected her to gang-r@pe.

The survivor managed to escape the scene and reached her uncle’s residence. He immediately alerted the authorities.

The girl was shifted to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital, where medical personnel confirmed that she had been r@ped.

On Thursday, Ittehad Town Police registered a case under Sections 375 (r@pe) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code. The main accused is now in custody, while police efforts continue to locate the other suspects involved.

The case has once again raised concerns over women’s safety in the city and highlighted the urgent need for stronger protections and faster legal proceedings in such cases.
