Karachi, September 18, 2025:
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast drizzle and light showers for Karachi today, bringing some relief to residents bracing for hot and humid weather.
According to the Met Office, the city is expected to see cloudy conditions throughout the day, with brief spells of sunshine adding to the heat. Winds from the west are likely to blow at around 11 kilometers per hour.
Early morning readings placed the minimum temperature at 26°C, while the maximum temperature is likely to hover near 33°C. Humidity remains on the higher side, currently recorded at 85 percent, which could make conditions feel warmer than the actual temperature.
Officials noted that light rain or drizzle is most likely during the morning and again at night, though showers are not expected to be heavy. The brief wet spells could, however, provide some respite for residents struggling with the city’s sweltering weather.
