KARACHI: The Karachi traffic police have released a detailed traffic and parking advisory for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations and the Marka-e-Haq musical night, set to take place at the National Stadium.
According to officials, only vehicles bearing special event stickers will be permitted to enter through Gate No. 1 and Gate No. 11 of the stadium. Visitors have been directed to park at the Expo Centre or China Ground, from where a dedicated shuttle service will transport them to the venue.
Authorities have cautioned that National Stadium Road and Sir Shah Suleman Road are expected to experience heavy traffic during the event. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes to avoid delays. Public buses, minibuses, and other commercial vehicles will be diverted to different roads, while heavy vehicles will not be allowed in the surrounding area.
The traffic police have urged citizens to cooperate with law enforcement personnel, avoid parking on service roads, and follow the advisory to ensure smooth traffic flow throughout the evening.
What is Marka-e-Haq?
The term Marka-e-Haq, meaning “Battle for Justice” or “Righteous Campaign,” refers to a significant four-day military operation between Pakistan and India, fought from May 7 to May 10, 2025. Officially named Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, it was launched in response to cross-border strikes by India that, according to Pakistan’s military, deliberately targeted civilians.
The escalation began after what Pakistan describes as a “false flag” attack in Pahalgam on April 22. On the night of May 6–7, Indian strikes inside Pakistani territory reportedly claimed the lives of 40 civilians — including women and children — and left many more injured.
In retaliation, Pakistan’s armed forces launched Marka-e-Haq with three primary objectives:
- To counter Indian aggression and safeguard national sovereignty
- To restore strategic balance and prevent further escalation
- To demonstrate national unity and military resilience
A Day of Remembrance:
In recognition of the sacrifices made during the campaign, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared May 10 as Marka-e-Haq Day, to be observed annually in tribute to the courage of Pakistan’s armed forces and the achievements of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.

کراچی: کراچی ٹریفک پولیس نے آزادیٔ دن کی تقریبات اور مارکۂ حق میوزیکل نائٹ کے لیے خصوصی ٹریفک اور پارکنگ پلان جاری کر دیا ہے۔ یہ تقریب نیشنل اسٹیڈیم کراچی میں منعقد ہوگی۔
پولیس حکام کے مطابق صرف وہی گاڑیاں جن پر خصوصی اسٹیکر لگے ہوں گے، گیٹ نمبر 1 اور گیٹ نمبر 11 سے اسٹیڈیم میں داخل ہو سکیں گی۔ شہری اپنی گاڑیاں ایکسپو سینٹر یا چائنا گراؤنڈ میں پارک کریں گے، جہاں سے شٹل سروس کے ذریعے انہیں اسٹیڈیم تک پہنچایا جائے گا۔
ٹریفک پولیس نے خبردار کیا ہے کہ تقریب کے دوران نیشنل اسٹیڈیم روڈ اور سر شاہ سلیمان روڈ پر ٹریفک کا بوجھ زیادہ ہونے کا امکان ہے، اس لیے شہری متبادل راستوں کا استعمال کریں۔ بسیں، منی بسیں اور دیگر کمرشل گاڑیاں متبادل سڑکوں پر موڑ دی جائیں گی جبکہ بھاری گاڑیوں کا اس علاقے میں داخلہ مکمل طور پر ممنوع ہوگا۔
شہریوں سے اپیل کی گئی ہے کہ وہ قانون نافذ کرنے والے اداروں سے تعاون کریں، سروس روڈ پر گاڑیاں یا موٹر سائیکلیں پارک کرنے سے گریز کریں اور ٹریفک پلان پر عملدرآمد کو یقینی بنائیں تاکہ ٹریفک کی روانی متاثر نہ ہو۔
مارکۂ حق کیا ہے؟
مارکۂ حق، جس کا مطلب ہے “حق کی لڑائی” یا “معرکۂ عدل”، پاکستان اور بھارت کے درمیان ایک اہم چار روزہ فوجی کارروائی کا نام ہے، جو 7 مئی سے 10 مئی 2025 تک جاری رہی۔ اس آپریشن کا باضابطہ نام آپریشن بنیانم مرصوص تھا، جو بھارتی سرحد پار حملوں کے جواب میں شروع کیا گیا۔
پاکستانی فوج کے مطابق یہ کشیدگی اس وقت بڑھی جب 22 اپریل کو پاہلگام میں ایک مبینہ “فالس فلیگ” کارروائی کے بعد بھارت نے 6 اور 7 مئی کی درمیانی رات پاکستان کے اندر شہری آبادی کو نشانہ بنایا۔ ان حملوں میں 40 شہری، جن میں خواتین اور بچے بھی شامل تھے، جاں بحق جبکہ متعدد زخمی ہوئے۔
اس کے جواب میں پاک افواج نے مارکۂ حق کا آغاز کیا، جس کے تین اہم مقاصد تھے:
- بھارتی جارحیت کا جواب دینا اور ملکی خودمختاری کا دفاع
- اسٹریٹجک توازن بحال کرنا اور مزید کشیدگی کو روکنا
- قومی اتحاد اور فوجی عزم کا مظاہرہ کرنا
یومِ مارکۂ حق
اس معرکے میں دی گئی قربانیوں کے اعتراف میں وزیرِاعظم شہباز شریف نے 10 مئی کو ہر سال یومِ مارکۂ حق کے طور پر منانے کا اعلان کیا، تاکہ پاک فوج کی بہادری اور آپریشن بنیانم مرصوص کی کامیابیوں کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کیا جا سکے۔
