Celebrity apologies don’t usually come easily, especially when they’re delayed by years. But Juggan Kazim just did something rare—she publicly said sorry to actress Alizeh Shah for unintentionally hurting her.
In a video posted on Instagram, Juggan addressed Alizeh directly: “Alizeh, I didn’t know that you were hurt or offended by the video you’re referring to.” The video in question is a reenactment of a 2021 incident where Shah tripped on the runway during Bridal Couture Week while walking with singer Shazia Manzoor. The moment quickly spread online.
While many laughed or made memes at the time, some, including Juggan Kazim and TikTok star Jannat Mirza, recreated the scene with Manzoor. Shah has now shared that what happened wasn’t just physically painful — it was emotionally traumatizing. She said she was pulled on stage by Manzoor and what followed — the mockery, the impersonations, the silence — made her feel utterly humiliated.
Earlier this week, Alizeh posted a series of raw Instagram stories calling out the industry and the media for abandoning her. She specifically named Juggan Kazim and Jannat Mirza for making light of what had happened. “Juggan Kazim, whom I respected so much…” she said, stopping mid-sentence. That line seems to have hit home.
Kazim responded saying the comment triggered a strong emotional response. She explained the event happened four years ago and she believed at the time that Alizeh was also laughing it off. “I didn’t know you were being harassed and trolled,” she said. “It doesn’t matter what anyone else says. What matters is how you felt.”
She also rejected suggestions that she should retaliate. “People told me I’m a senior, I should clap back. I told them if I hurt someone, I’ll apologize. I have no problem doing that.”
Rather than being defensive, Juggan called out the media and influencers for hyping up such situations without considering the impact on the people involved. “Why do you all turn everything into viral content?” she asked. “You strip people of their dignity.”
She also mentioned the recent death of veteran actor Ayesha Khan, and how rumors about her family became viral gossip. She referenced similar treatment of actress Humaira Asghar. “Have some fear of God,” she said, holding back tears.
It’s still unclear how Alizeh will react to this apology, but Juggan’s message came off as heartfelt. “Child, if I hurt you, I truly apologize from my heart,” she said.
In her stories, Alizeh had laid bare years of abuse she said she faced in the entertainment industry — from being mocked and underpaid to having her humanity dismissed for the sake of content. She said the fall wasn’t accidental; she was pulled down, and the aftermath left her feeling shattered, not supported.
She declared that she’s done staying silent — she won’t tolerate mistreatment or let others profit from her pain. Above all, she demanded the basic right to be treated with respect.
It’s never too late to do what’s right. Hopefully, more people in the industry are paying attention.
