Imran Khan Chose Prison Over Comfortable Life Abroad, Says Son Kasim

Kasim Khan, son of former prime minister Imran Khan, has said that his father willingly chose to remain in a “dark prison cell” rather than spend his life in comfort overseas.

In a heartfelt post on social media platform X, Kasim reflected on his father’s political struggles and personal sacrifices. “Our father spent most of our lives living in Pakistan, away from us. Not because he was forced to, but because he chose to stand up against a corrupt system,” he wrote.

Kasim acknowledged that while Imran Khan could not always be there for him and his brother as a father, he remained present for the people of Pakistan as their leader. “He gave his country everything — hospitals, universities, and a movement for justice,” he said, referring to the PTI founder’s philanthropic and political contributions.

He revealed that Imran Khan had been offered the option to live peacefully in England, where he could spend time with his family, go for walks, or play cricket with his sons. “Instead, he chooses to stay locked away in a dark prison cell,” Kasim wrote, adding that his father’s sacrifices were solely for Pakistan and that his strength came from its people.
