ISLAMABAD — The Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued an important reminder for applicants under the government Hajj scheme, warning that those who fail to pay their second and final installment on time will lose their chance to perform Hajj next year.
According to ministry sources, the second installment is scheduled to be collected from November 3 to 10, with a payment of Rs650,000 per person. The amount can be deposited through 14 designated banks across the country.
Officials further clarified that applicants opting for upgraded accommodations will face additional charges. A double-bed family room will cost an extra Rs200,000 per person, while a triple-bed family room will carry an additional Rs67,000 per person.
The ministry also confirmed that applicants will be allowed to adjust or change their selected package only at the time of paying the second installment. Once the payment is received, no further modifications will be entertained.
Authorities cautioned that those who fail to deposit the installment within the specified period will see their Hajj applications cancelled. However, the first installment already paid will be refunded directly to their bank accounts.
This announcement comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to streamline the government Hajj scheme and ensure timely arrangements for pilgrims ahead of the upcoming season.
