Gold Prices in Pakistan Surge Sharply in a Single Day

Islamabad — Gold prices in Pakistan saw a sudden and significant jump on Tuesday, with the rate per tola climbing to Rs. 436,562, marking an increase of Rs. 7,700 in just one day.

The price for 10 grams rose to Rs. 374,281, up by Rs. 6,601, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

On Monday, gold rates remained stable at Rs. 428,862 per tola in the local market.

Globally, gold prices also surged, with an ounce reaching $4,142, including a $20 premium. Silver in Pakistan saw a notable increase as well, rising Rs. 152 to Rs. 5,422 per tola.

International markets continued their upward momentum on Tuesday, hitting the highest levels in over a week. The rally came as dovish remarks from U.S. Federal Reserve policymakers renewed hopes of a potential rate cut in December, helping gold advance despite a strong U.S. dollar.

Spot gold was up 0.1% at $4,140.85 per ounce by 04:57 GMT, following Monday’s 1.8% jump.
