Four Suspects Behind Online Drug Network Arrested in Karachi

In a major crackdown on narcotics in the city, the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) has arrested four men accused of operating an inter-provincial drug network.

According to officials, the suspects were part of a gang that sourced drugs from Balochistan and Hub before distributing them in Karachi. SIU officers seized more than 15 kilograms of narcotics during the operation.

SSP Arif Aslam Rao confirmed the arrests, identifying the suspects as Shaukat Ali, Omar, Abdul Sabir, and Faheem. He added that the gang was using online platforms to sell and deliver drugs across the city.

“A case has been registered against the accused, and further investigations are underway to determine the full extent of their network,” SSP Rao said. The arrests highlight the growing trend of drug trafficking shifting towards digital channels, raising fresh challenges for law enforcement agencies already engaged in combating Karachi’s complex crime landscape.
