Fauji Cement and KAPCO to Jointly Acquire 84% Stake in Attock Cement

ISLAMABAD — In a major development within Pakistan’s industrial sector, Fauji Cement Company Limited (FCCL) and Kot Addu Power Company Limited (KAPCO) have decided to jointly acquire a controlling 84.06% stake in Attock Cement Pakistan Limited (ACPL).

The announcement follows the Public Announcement of Intention (PAI) made on June 3, 2025, through Integrated Equities Limited, which is acting as the Manager to the Offer.

According to official sources, the move is part of a strategic initiative to bring Attock Cement under the shared management of FCCL and KAPCO both subsidiaries of the Fauji Foundation group, one of Pakistan’s leading business conglomerates.

During a meeting held on November 3, 2025, the Board of Directors of Fauji Cement gave the green light to the acquisition plan after a detailed review of the potential benefits and business synergies across the group’s cement division.

Company officials believe the acquisition will not only strengthen the group’s presence in the cement industry but also enhance production capacity, improve operational efficiency, and create long-term value for shareholders.

However, the process remains subject to several formalities, including the signing of a share purchase agreement, completion of transaction documentation, and approval from regulatory bodies. Legal and procedural steps will follow before the transaction is officially finalized.

Once completed, this acquisition will represent a significant milestone for the Fauji Foundation, reinforcing its position in Pakistan’s manufacturing landscape. It also reflects the group’s broader strategy of expansion through collaboration and consolidation, contributing to the growth of the country’s industrial sector.
