China Voices Deep Concern Over Israel’s Full Occupation Plan for Gaza City

Beijing – August 8, 2025:
China has voiced strong concern over Israel’s announcement to fully occupy Gaza City, calling on Tel Aviv to halt what it termed “dangerous actions” that risk escalating the already dire humanitarian situation in the region.

In a statement issued Friday, a spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry emphasized that Gaza is an integral part of Palestinian territory and belongs to the Palestinian people. The remarks came shortly after Israel’s Prime Minister’s Office confirmed that the military would move forward with a full occupation plan, approved by Prime Minister Netanyahu and his security cabinet.

China urged Israel to exercise restraint and called for an immediate ceasefire, stating that such a step is essential to alleviating the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and securing the release of hostages.

“A ceasefire is the only path toward de-escalation and the restoration of regional stability,” the spokesperson added. “China is willing to work alongside the international community to bring an end to the war in Gaza at the earliest opportunity.”

Beijing’s response highlights growing international unease as Israel pushes ahead with its controversial plan, raising fears of further civilian suffering and regional unrest.
