KARACHI – Pakistan’s iconic martial artist Rashid Naseem has once again made the nation proud by claiming yet another Guinness World Record — this time for the most full-contact boxing punches delivered in one minute.
In a dazzling display of speed, precision, and endurance, Rashid landed 386 full-contact punches in just 60 seconds, surpassing the previous record of 374 held by England’s Joshua Lyalla. Guinness World Records has officially verified the feat and updated it on their website.
This latest milestone isn’t just another entry on his growing list — it marks Rashid’s 154th world record, a staggering number that cements his legacy as the world’s top punching record holder.
Demonstrating his deep sense of global and national solidarity, Rashid dedicated the record to Palestine, following a tradition of aligning his accomplishments with meaningful causes. He had previously dedicated his 150th record to the Pakistan Army.
Rashid’s list of jaw-dropping achievements speaks for itself. From throwing more than 32,000 punches in an hour, to punching with 1 kg weights over 24,000 times in the same duration, to performing 675 punches in a minute with the same weights — his stamina and discipline continue to push human limits. One of his more delicate yet impressive records involved delivering full-extension punches with one hand while holding an egg — without cracking it.
So far, 129 Guinness World Records have been approved solely under Rashid’s name, while others were earned by his students — a testament to his role not just as a competitor, but as a mentor. His Rashid Naseem Martial Arts Academy has earned the distinction of being the most successful martial arts academy in Pakistan, with 150 total records to its credit.
Beyond national recognition, Rashid has also broken more than 40 Indian records and competed with challengers from across the globe — including China, the UK, Italy, Iran, Egypt, Germany, Serbia, and Switzerland.
He remains the only Pakistani martial artist to represent the country in top-level international events in Italy, Germany, China, Korea, Romania, Spain, and Singapore — putting Pakistan firmly on the map in the world of martial arts.
Rashid Naseem’s story is not just one of personal triumph — it’s a reflection of Pakistan’s untapped potential, grit, and global talent.
