Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Emphasize Stronger Defence Collaboration

RAWALPINDI — Chief of General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces, General Fayyadh Bin Hameed Al Ruwaili, paid a formal visit to Pakistan and met Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, at the GHQ on Monday.

During the meeting, both military leaders discussed matters of mutual interest, focusing particularly on enhancing the longstanding strategic cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. They highlighted the importance of deepening defence collaboration, security coordination, and joint counter-terrorism initiatives, which remain key pillars of the bilateral relationship.

General Fayyadh expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s cooperation with the Saudi Armed Forces across multiple domains and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the robust ties between the two countries.

Upon arrival at the GHQ, General Fayyadh Bin Hameed Al Ruwaili laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and was received with a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army, reflecting the high-level diplomatic and military significance of the visit.
