Action legend Jackie Chan has revealed that his world-renowned stunt team is working on the highly anticipated Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth installment of Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise.
In a recent interview with Hong Kong outlet HK01, Chan shared that he traveled to London to visit the film’s set, where his team has been handling the action choreography. “My Jackie Chan Stunt Team was busy filming Spider-Man, and I was the action director for them,” he said, confirming his behind-the-scenes involvement.
However, the star clarified that while his team is contributing, he himself is not part of the movie’s cast. “I went to watch their rehearsals, and the director [Destin Daniel Cretton] was quite surprised to see me. I made sure he understood that they are part of my team,” Chan explained with a smile.
Chan also praised Tom Holland’s commitment to the role, noting that the young actor has often done his own stunts. “I heard the young man paid tribute to my films in a lot of action scenes and has done stunts by himself,” he added.
Production on Spider-Man: Brand New Day began earlier this month in Scotland before moving to Pinewood Studios in England. The film sees the return of Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, and Michael Mando as Scorpion. New cast members include Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Tramell Tillman, with Sink reportedly playing an ally to Peter Parker.
With Jackie Chan’s iconic stunt team shaping the action sequences, fans can expect a fresh blend of martial arts energy and superhero spectacle when Spider-Man swings back onto the big screen.
