Deputy PM Calls for Stronger Coordination to Maximise Investment Benefits

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has emphasised the importance of close institutional coordination and swift implementation to translate foreign investments into real economic gains for Pakistan.

Chairing a high-level meeting on Monday to review progress on investment initiatives from friendly countries, Dar reiterated the government’s resolve to ensure that these investments contribute to mutual growth and prosperity.

According to a statement issued by the Deputy PM’s Office, the meeting reviewed developments in key sectors, including infrastructure, energy, petroleum, and economic development.

The meeting was attended by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, along with secretaries from the ministries of Law and Justice, Petroleum, and Finance.

Participants discussed ways to expedite projects and remove hurdles to ensure that foreign investments materialise effectively and benefit the country’s economy at large.
