Three Pakistani workers — Mushtaq Ahmed, Imdad Ullah, and Bakht Muneer Khan — lost their lives in a devastating car accident in Saudi Arabia, leaving their families and community in Kakad, Upper Dir, in deep grief. All three men had been working abroad to support their loved ones back home.
According to initial reports, the accident occurred while they were travelling for work. Rescue teams reached the spot immediately and shifted the injured men to the nearest hospital. Despite the medical team’s best efforts, their injuries were too severe, and the workers could not be saved.
The news of their passing sent shockwaves through their hometown. Relatives, neighbours, and friends expressed heartbreak over the loss of three hardworking men who had gone abroad with hopes of securing a better future for their families.
After completing all legal procedures in Saudi Arabia, arrangements were made to repatriate their bodies to Pakistan. Community members, along with local authorities, assisted in the process to ensure the victims were brought home with dignity.
A large crowd gathered in their village to receive the bodies, offering prayers and condolences to the bereaved families. Funeral prayers were held in their hometown, attended by hundreds of people. The emotional atmosphere reflected the community’s collective sorrow as the three men were laid to rest.
Local elders and community representatives have urged the government to extend support to the grieving families.
This tragic incident serves as a painful reminder of the hardships faced by overseas workers and the emotional toll their families endure when such heartbreaking events occur.
