KARACHI — Passengers across Pakistan are facing major travel disruptions as several leading airlines, including PIA, Qatar Airways, AirSial, and SalamAir, report flight delays and cancellations.
Qatar Airways cancelled its Karachi–Doha round-trip flights 604 and 605, while AirSial called off multiple flights between Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore, including flights 121, 122, 141, 142, 143, 144, 125, and 126. SalamAir also cancelled its Muscat to Karachi service.
Meanwhile, PIA is grappling with delays across key domestic and international routes. Karachi–Islamabad flight PK300 was delayed by five hours, Karachi–Lahore PK301 by an hour and 20 minutes, and Islamabad–Karachi flights PK301 and PK309 faced four-hour and one-hour delays, respectively. Other routes, including Karachi–Gilgit and Karachi–Toronto, experienced delays of 42 minutes and 30 minutes, respectively, while Karachi–Skardu flight PK455 was cancelled.
AirBlue’s Lahore–Karachi flight PA401 departed 48 minutes late, PIA PK303 left an hour late, and Qatar Airways flight 611 to Doha faced a 10-minute delay.
These disruptions come amid ongoing operational challenges, particularly within PIA, which continues to struggle due to disputes with aircraft engineers. Passengers, both domestic and international, have been significantly inconvenienced, raising concerns over the efficiency and reliability of airline services in Pakistan.
