Two Killed, Two Injured in Targeted Shooting in Korangi, Karachi

KARACHI — In a chilling incident in Korangi’s Zaman Park on Tuesday, two men were killed and another two injured when assailants on motorcycles opened fire on them, police said, suspecting the attack to be a case of targeted killing.

The deceased have been identified as Ilyas and Noor Nabi. Authorities noted that Noor Nabi had a criminal record, while both victims were affiliated with a political party. The attack occurred during a power outage, providing cover for the assailants to strike under darkness.

Law enforcement teams rushed to the scene after receiving reports, collecting forensic evidence including spent shells, and have registered a case against the attackers. A manhunt is currently underway to apprehend the perpetrators.

The targeted killings have reignited fear among residents of the area, with many expressing concern over a possible resurgence of such violent incidents in Karachi.
