Karachi: A heartbreaking incident occurred at Manora Himalaya Beach on Wednesday, where five students from Dow Medical University got caught in the sea while on a picnic, police confirmed.
According to authorities, three students tragically lost their lives, and their bodies have been recovered. Two others survived but remain in critical condition after being rescued from the water.
Police stated that the students had visited the beach for leisure when the mishap occurred. The deceased have been identified as Sharib, Ashhad Abbas, and Ahmed. Their bodies were transferred to a nearby medical facility for legal and procedural formalities.
Officials have urged the public to exercise extreme caution near water bodies, highlighting the importance of safety measures, especially for young visitors at beaches.
