Karachi: Three Killed, One Injured in Drug Road Underpass Accident

KARACHI (August 25, 2025): A tragic road accident at the Drug Road underpass claimed the lives of three people, including a woman, while another woman sustained injuries on Monday.

According to police officials, the incident occurred when a speeding passenger bus rammed into two motorcycles inside the underpass. SSP Dr. Farrukh Raza confirmed that the collision left three people dead on the spot, while one woman was seriously injured.

Rescue teams immediately rushed to the scene and shifted the bodies and the injured woman to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). The deceased were identified as 45-year-old Haris, 30-year-old Shoaib, and 60-year-old Naila.

SSP Farrukh Raza stated that the cause of the accident was reckless driving at high speed. Police chased down the minibus, took it into custody, and arrested the driver. He added that further investigations are underway to determine additional details surrounding the incident.

The tragic accident has once again raised concerns over rash driving and the lack of strict enforcement of traffic regulations in the city.
