Gujrat, September 13, 2025 — A tragic road accident on GT Road claimed three lives and left three others critically injured when a speeding car rammed into a passenger rickshaw on Saturday.
According to rescue officials, the rickshaw had stopped on the roadside to pick up passengers when it was struck from behind at high speed. Two people died instantly, while another succumbed to injuries later at the hospital. The rickshaw driver was among the deceased.
The victims included two laborers Muhammad Akram from Ghotki and Afzal Ahmed from Rahim Yar Khan. The three injured passengers remain in critical condition. Police confirmed that a case has been registered against the car driver.
Meanwhile, in Lahore, two unidentified bodies were recovered in separate incidents within the Factory Area police limits. One was found inside the premises of an abandoned steel mill near Mominpura, while the other was discovered near Khanpur town. Initial police investigations suggest that one of the deceased may have been intoxicated. Both bodies have been shifted to a hospital for post-mortem examination.
